Ben “Mr. Zag” Gregg heard some positive news at the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft and will be joining the Boston Celtics in the NBA 2K26 Summer League in Las Vegas, according to Matt Gregg and the Spokesman Review’s Theo Lawson. The annual showcase runs from July 10th through the 20th at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion, while featuring all 30 franchises. He will be playing with the international draft pick by the Celtics in the first round, Spain guard Hugo González (28th overall pick).

Gonzaga’s Killian Tillie played with the Boston summer league team in 2024, along with Anton “Mr. Spokane” Watson, who was drafted by the organization with the 54th overall pick in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Gregg worked out with eight other reported teams leading up to the draft, including the Atlanta Hawks, Phoenix Suns, Charlotte Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Portland Trail Blazers.

The 6-10, 230-pound forward averaged 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds throughout his five seasons, 141 games played in Spokane. In his final campaign with Gonzaga, Gregg contributed a career-high 9.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 29 starts during the 2024-5 campaign. In 35 total games played, he shot 57.1 percent from the floor (also a career-high).

No word yet on what the past Gonzaga backcourt duo of Nolan Hickman and Khalif Battle’s professional basketball future holds at this time. The pair should also be joining an NBA franchise’s summer league roster in the near future.
