Infosys Launches Major FinTech Hub in GIFT City

Infosys, the Bengaluru-based IT major, announced on Saturday the inauguration of its new development centre located at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar. This strategic expansion aims to bolster Infosys's presence in India's premier international financial hub.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees operating under a hybrid working model. It will function as a pivotal TechFin hub, dedicated to delivering advanced digital solutions to global clients within the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector.
The centre's service offerings will encompass a wide range of critical domains. These include digital banking, regulatory affairs and compliance management, trade finance, capital markets, cards and payments, as well as risk management. To deliver these services, the hub will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (GenAI), cloud computing, application programming interfaces (API), cybersecurity, and blockchain.
A primary objective of this new centre is to provide seamless cross-border digital services, enhance client proximity, and significantly strengthen India’s standing as a global financial technology powerhouse. This initiative also fortifies Infosys's global delivery model.
Jayesh Sanghrajka, Chief Financial Officer at Infosys, commented on the development, stating, "Setting up our development centre in GIFT City is a strategic step aligned with our vision of leading innovation in financial services from within India’s foremost international financial hub."
Furthermore, the centre is conceptualized as a future-ready hybrid workplace. Its design emphasizes enhancing productivity and fostering social capital and collaboration among its employees, aligning with modern work paradigms.
