IMD forecasts rain in North India: Delhi-NCR and neighboring states to experience showers

The weather in Delhi-NCR is set for another shift as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in multiple states across the country. This change in weather will not only affect Delhi-NCR but will also impact several neighboring regions. According to the latest forecasts, rain is expected between February 25 and 28 in many parts of North India due to an active Western Disturbance.

The Western Disturbance, a weather phenomenon responsible for bringing moisture-laden winds, is set to impact Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.
Further forecasts indicate fresh snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during this period. Uttarakhand is likely to receive rainfall on February 27 and 28, while Himachal Pradesh may witness rain between February 26 and 28. If you are thinking about travel disruptions, high altitude regions might be a bit risky to tackle this time of year, mainly due to possible landslides and road blockages.

A day earlier, on Monday, the maximum temperature reached 27.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 10.7 degrees Celsius, which is 1.1 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year. With the arrival of the Western Disturbance, Delhi-NCR is likely to receive rainfall on February 27 and 28.

In Bhopal, weather experts predict clear skies throughout the week. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will hover around 15 degrees Celsius.
