Nigerian carrier Ibom Air has officially joined the Amadeus Global Distribution System, marking a major step in the airline’s strategy to expand its market reach and strengthen its presence in Africa’s growing aviation sector.

The integration gives Ibom Air access to a global network of travel agencies, corporate buyers, and booking platforms, making its flights more visible and easier to book worldwide.

The move comes amid rising demand for air travel across Africa and renewed interest in Nigeria’s aviation industry, positioning the airline for increased bookings, broader customer reach, and future route expansion.

Owned by Akwa Ibom State and launched in 2019, Ibom Air has built a reputation for reliability and customer service while operating multiple domestic routes with a modern fleet.

Its entry into the Amadeus ecosystem is expected to simplify itinerary planning for travel professionals across West Africa, improve connectivity, and support business and tourism growth.
