In April, Uwom Eze, a forensic psychologist, the singer may have died from a “severe allergic reaction” to the injected substance, which led to multiple organ failure.
He described the case as a “medical misadventure”.
During a recent , Karimot, popularly known as Mummy J, broke down in tears as she accused certain individuals of threatening her husband and spreading false claims that she was the nurse responsible for Mohbad’s death.
She denied any involvement, stating that she “had already clarified my position”.
Karimot also expressed “fear for my life,” emphasizing that her “death would leave my children without care”.
“If you kill me, you just want to be wicked to me. There is nobody to take care of my kids. If my husband marries another woman, do you want my children to be maltreated by another woman? I do not know anything about Mohbad’s death, I was not the nurse that injected him. My death will do you no good,” she said.
“Nigerians, you are wicked. What else do you want from me? I am an orphan. They should stop sending messages to my husband. Men, too, have a breaking point. If I were the nurse or ever in the house with them before Mohbad’s demise, may I die untimely.”
In 2023, a petitioned had surfaced calling for the revocation of Karimot’s nursing license in the U.S., alleging that she advised Wunmi on the drugs administered to Mohbad before his death.
The petition urged the Association of Nurses in the United States to investigate her, though no evidence has substantiated these claims.
