Humaira Asghar was found dead in her apartment in Karachi, Pakistan, in a horrific state.

According to Arab News, digital and forensic evidence revealed that the young actress died in October 2024.

Police officers discovered Humaira’s body while executing a court order to have her vacate her apartment.

This followed complaints from her landlord, who said she had not paid rent for several months.

Karachi police surgeon Summaiya Syed, who conducted the post-mortem, said the woman’s body had reached a very advanced stage of decomposition.

He noted that the facial muscles had deteriorated, the fingers and nails had reduced to bone, and large parts of the body had lost muscle tissue.

Syed added that the bones began to fall apart when touched, and her internal organs had turned into a black-coloured mass.

Reports also indicated the presence of brown insects, particularly in the deceased actress’s hair.

Due to the advanced stage of decay, forensic experts could not determine Humaira’s exact cause of death.

However, they opted to carry out DNA profiling and toxicology tests to provide further insight into the actress’s demise.

Humaira’s family reportedly refused to take her remains for burial, claiming they had severed all ties with her in 2023.

They later changed their position and took the body for burial preparations.

Deputy Inspector General of Police in the South Zone, Asad Reza, said the case posed unusual challenges, as her death had gone unnoticed for a long time, and no one raised any concerns.

Humaira’s social media pages had remained dormant since October 2024.

Her last Facebook post was on September 11, 2024, and her final Instagram post was on September 30, 2024.

Syed confirmed that the actress’s phone was last active in October 2024, with the final recorded call placed that month.

After the discovery of her body, the deceased actress's last voice has been circulating widely on social media, as questions on what caused her death abound.

In the last voice note, Humaira had sent a haunting voice message to a close friend in September, expressing her need for prayers for her career and well-being.

In the voice message, she said that she was travelling, but reiterated her need for prayers.

“I'm so sorry, I was travelling, caught up here and there," she was heard adding that she was having a great time in Mecca, visiting her friends.

This comes as neighbours claim they did not smell a foul odour emanating from her apartment, partly because her floor only had one other house, which was vacant.

They also said that they last saw her alive between September and October of 2024.

By the time one of the neighbours moved in February 2025, there was no stench as reported by NDTV.

In other news, reported that Alice Warimu, famously known by her stage name Alicia Nimo from the popular TV show Tahidi High passed away.

The young woman collapsed at her home on April 19 and died, leaving her family, friends, and fans in deep grief.

Her friends mourned her as a hardworking and dedicated woman with a strong drive to excel in everything she pursued.

Nimo leaves behind a lovely young daughter, who is currently under the care of her loving grandparents.

also reported that Carolina Hawa, also known as Carina, passed away while receiving treatment in India.

The actress had reportedly been in and out of hospital since 2023 and was taken to India for specialised care.

Carina is said to have been suffering from a rare disease that affected her stomach and had undergone more than 25 surgeries.
