HUMAIN & NVIDIA Partner to Build AI Factories in Saudi Arabia

HUMAIN, a new subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has announced a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to advance artificial intelligence development. The collaboration aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a global leader in AI, GPU cloud computing, and digital transformation. This partnership will leverage NVIDIA platforms and expertise to drive innovation and growth worldwide.
HUMAIN is investing in building AI factories in Saudi Arabia, with a projected capacity of up to 500 megawatts powered by hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA's advanced GPUs over the next five years. The initial phase includes deploying an 18,000 NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell AI supercomputer with NVIDIA InfiniBand networking. These hyperscale AI data centers will provide a secure infrastructure for training and deploying sovereign AI models.
HUMAIN will deploy the NVIDIA Omniverse™ platform to accelerate physical AI and robotics through simulation and optimization of physical environments. This will enable industries to create integrated digital twins, enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability and advancing the Kingdom’s Industry 4.0 initiatives.
To support this transformation, HUMAIN and NVIDIA will collaborate on upskilling and training initiatives, providing Saudi citizens and developers with hands-on experience in AI, simulation, robotics, and digital twin technologies. This effort aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for economic diversification and digital leadership.
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, stated that AI is essential infrastructure and that, together with HUMAIN, they are building AI infrastructure for the people and companies of Saudi Arabia. His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized that this collaboration marks a turning point in building AI factories and powering the next era of physical AI.
Tareq Amin, CEO of HUMAIN, noted that the partnership with NVIDIA is a step forward in realizing the Kingdom’s ambitions to lead in AI and advanced digital infrastructure.
These partnerships coincide with U.S. President Donald Trump's Gulf tour, focusing on economic diplomacy and business tie-ups. Saudi Arabia seeks to reduce its dependence on oil revenue and position itself as a hub for AI activity outside the United States.
A joint statement from Nvidia and Saudi Arabia outlined initiatives, including building AI infrastructure and training developers. Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, president of the Saudi Data & AI Authority, stated that it marks a step toward positioning the Kingdom as a leader in data- and AI-driven economies. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched HUMAIN to develop and manage AI technologies in Saudi Arabia.
