MEROM, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A fire occurred Tuesday evening in the 2100 block of South 3rd Street.

According to Redgie Pinkston, Vice President of Gill Township Fire Department, three different fire departments responded to the call including Gill Township Fire Department, Carlisle-Haddon Township Fire Department, and Sullivan City Fire Department. One person was home at the time of the fire but was able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still currently under investigation. We will update the story if any new information becomes available.
