Hip-Hop Heavyweights Collide: 50 Cent Unleashes Scathing Attack on Diddy's Camp

The long-standing rivalry between G-Unit leader 50 Cent and Bad Boy Records mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has escalated with the imminent release of 50 Cent’s new four-part Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning. Scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, December 2, the docuseries promises an in-depth look at Diddy's recent legal challenges and public persona.
Leading up to the premiere, 50 Cent and the series director, Alexandria Stapleton, appeared on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts on Monday, December 1, sharing insights about the project. During the segment, 50 Cent disclosed that Diddy’s publicist has labeled him as an “adversary” due to the documentary. The rapper also posted on Instagram a screenshot from a New York Times article regarding Harvey Weinstein's publicist, implying that Diddy’s PR team is actively attempting to discredit him. 50 Cent characterized the remarks as "very nasty," sarcastically linking the tension to his refusal to attend Diddy’s social events.
A key feature of the documentary is never-before-seen footage of Diddy, reportedly intended for another film prior to the mogul’s September 2024 arrest. One striking clip captures Diddy in a hotel room speaking to his legal team. In the footage, he asserts, "Listen to me, I am going to let you professionals look at the situation and come back to me with a solution. Y’all are not working together the right way. We’re losing."
During his Good Morning America interview, 50 Cent highlighted this scene as a pivotal moment, providing a rare glimpse into Combs’ manipulative character. The rapper noted the unusual candidness of the footage, suggesting Diddy "forgot he was on tape," which, according to 50 Cent, offers an unfiltered view of the Bad Boy mogul’s true persona.
