He Told Us He Could Arrest the Dollar, But Ended Up Messing Everything- Bempah Fires DMB Again
Deputy National Communication Officer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has slammed Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for failing the party, calling colleague party supporters to consider Kennedy Agyapong as the best alternative for the party in the coming election cycle.
Speaking on NET2 TV, Owusu Bempah said Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia promised to make the country better by stabilising the cedi but ended up messing the entire economy.
“You came and assured us that you had the right people — people who could manage the economy and stabilize the cedi, even claiming you’d hand over the keys to the IGP. But we all saw how things turned out. Moving forward, it’s crucial that we carefully consider the kind of leaders we choose and the type of practical leadership we truly need.” He said.
Owusu Bempah further gave reasons why Kennedy Agyapong is the better option for the NPP party, arguing that he understands the facets of the Ghanaian economy and better positioned to lead the NPP to victory in 2028.
“We should be very careful with the choice of leaders we take. It is very fundamental as we prepare to come in 2028. The kind of practical leader we want to take. We should take people like Kennedy Agyapong who knows every facet of the economy.
He has sold PK before, he has been a fish washer and has ran almost all kinds of businesses. If you put such a man in the helm of affairs, he will only view things from practical perspective. For me, if we will need leadership, the choices that will make and unmake us as a party.
Kennedy Agyapong works practically. NPP we stand as elitist and intellectual party with pragmatic ideas to develop this country and we need someone like Kennedy to champion it. No one ever thought NDC could manage the cedi to this level” he said.
