Government launches 'Fast Track Immigration' for Indian passport and OCI holders
The government has launched the Fast Track Immigration Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP) to simplify immigration procedures for Indian passport holders and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders.
The program offers a quicker and more convenient immigration process through automated e-gates.
After registration, passengers can skip long queues and complete immigration procedures free of charge in just 30 seconds.
On January 16, 2025, Union Home Minister Amit Shah officially inaugurated the program at seven additional airports from Ahmedabad. This marks a key step in the government’s efforts to improve immigration services as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ vision led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The program was first launched on June 22, 2024, at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), New Delhi, and is being expanded to 21 major airports across the country.
In the initial phase, the service is already available at airports in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad, in addition to Delhi.
As per the Ministry of Home Affairs, registration under the FTI-TTP is valid until the passport expires or for a maximum of five years, whichever is earlier. Travellers will need to renew their registration after this period.
Eligible travellers can register online at www.ftittp.mha.gov.in.
