Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu, represented by his deputy Alhaji Idris Mohammed Gobir, joined three former governors and other dignitaries to witness the wedding Fatiha of Hawa’u Dingyadi, daughter of Malam Yusuf Dingyadi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the PDP National Chairman.

The ceremony, which drew a large crowd of political figures, clerics, and business leaders, was held at the Sultan Hassan Dan Mu’azu Jumu’at Mosque in Runjin Sambo, Sokoto.

The marriage between Hawa’u Dingyadi and Abdullahi Aliyu (popularly known as Alpha) was officiated by the Chief Imam of the mosque, supported by Malam Usman Liman and Bashir Gidan Kanawa, after the payment of a N300,000 dowry.

Among the prominent personalities in attendance were former governors Yahaya Abdulkarim, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal; former Minister Yusuf Suleiman; PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo; the Waziri of Sokoto, Alhaji Sambo Junaid Wali; and renowned Islamic scholar Malam Bello Yabo.

Special prayers were offered for the couple’s success in marriage as well as for peace and stability in the nation.
