Godzilla Invades Marvel Universe: Bonkers New Crossover Series Unleashed!

The legendary monster Godzilla, a consistent hit in Hollywood's big-budget sci-fi landscape, has evolved into a global sensation since Warner Bros. launched the MonsterVerse franchise in 2014 with the film "Godzilla," starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen. The cinematic universe expanded three years later with the release of the King Kong movie "Kong: Skull Island" in 2017, featuring Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston. The two iconic titans finally collided in "Godzilla vs. Kong" in 2021 and subsequently teamed up in the megablockbuster "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire." The duo is set to face a deadly new threat next year when "Godzilla x Kong: Supernova" hits theaters.
"Godzilla x Kong: Supernova" is scheduled for theatrical release on March 26, 2027. While specific plot details remain under wraps, it is confirmed that the film will depict Godzilla and King Kong teaming up to confront a "cataclysmic threat." Dan Stevens will reprise his role as Trapper, alongside a cast of mostly new stars, including Jack O’Connell, Sam Neill, Kaitlyn Dever, and Matthew Modine. Grant Sputore is directing the film from a script by Dave Callaham. The new installment follows a series of successful prequels in the MonsterVerse, including "Godzilla," "Kong: Skull Island," "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," "Godzilla vs. Kong," and "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."
Beyond the MonsterVerse, Godzilla is preparing for another major crossover event with the release of "Godzilla Conquers the Multiverse," a new comic series arriving this July. This series will see Godzilla ascend into the Marvel multiverse, taking on new forms inspired by signature Marvel characters such as Wolverine. The comic is being written by Gerry Duggan with art from Javier Garrón, and David Marquez has contributed striking variant covers. The official synopsis reveals an "unholy alliance between Knull and Godzilla conquers the Marvel Universe — and now Doctor Doom, Spider-Man, Kang, Emma Frost, Ghost Rider, the Punisher, Man-Thing and more stand on the edge of annihilation! When Doomstadt rips across dimensions to capture a kaiju capable of stopping the King of the Monsters, the team collides with mecha fiends, multiversal kaiju and a deadly Red Skull in adamantium armor. But as universes burn, an unexpected ally may hold the key to survival."
