The late Belinda Sarkodie

A Ghanaian woman based in Canada, Belinda Sarkodie, has been shot and killed by unknown assailants.

According to media reports, the incident occurred while she was waiting at a bus stop on Hamilton’s King Street. Belinda was reportedly checking herself in a mirror at the stop when she was shot in the head.

Two other individuals were also shot during the incident. One died on the spot, while the other survived.

An eyewitness who spoke to Bigscout Media suggested that Belinda may have been an unintended victim, possibly struck by a stray bullet from a gang-related shootout.

As of the time this report was filed, Canadian police had cordoned off the crime scene. Reports also indicate that Belinda had no known family in Canada.
