Black Sherif, Efya, Fameye and Gasmilla
For some Ghanaian musicians, making music alone isn’t enough to express their creative talent.
Known for their bold and distinctive fashion choices, these artistes have taken things a step further, strutting on fashion runways both locally and internationally.
Here are a few Ghanaian artistes who have made notable runway appearances:
Black Sherif
The versatile musician made his runway debut at London Fashion Week in February 2024, walking for Labrum London.
He later appeared at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024, modelling for Off‑White alongside Prince Brefo of ‘Free The Youth’.
His commanding presence and distinct style drew attention, solidifying his reputation as a fashion-forward artiste.
Gasmilla
Highlife and hiplife star Odartei Milla Lamptey, popularly known as Gasmilla, walked the runway at the Rhythms on Da Runway show in 2023.
He captivated the audience in a traditional outfit adorned with plant leaves, a creative statement celebrating nature and Ghanaian heritage.
Fameye
The “Very Soon” hitmaker made a runway appearance at the Glitz Africa Fashion Weekend 2023 in Accra.
Modelling for Jants Collection, he showcased an African-style jumpsuit and bold cargo pieces, blending traditional aesthetics with modern streetwear flair.
Efya
Ghanaian neo-soul singer Efya brought her signature style to the runway at the Music Meets Runway event in Lagos, Nigeria, in December 2014.
The show, organized by FashionGHANA and its founder Nana Tamakloe, featured Efya both modelling and performing. She wore designs from the Osei Duro label, complementing the relaxed, wind-swept collection of gathered trousers, crop tops, and skirts with her vibrant stage energy.
