Georgia - Kavkasia-welcomes-back-Gaprindashvili

BC Kavkasia Tbilisi (Superleague) landed 22-year old international 200cm swingman Nikoloz Gaprindashvili for new season. It is actually his comeback to Tbilisi as he has played here before. Gaprindashvili played most recently at Tbilisi State University (Superleague). In 33 games he averaged 9.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.5apg and 1.2spg last season. He helped them to make it to both league and Cup finals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian Superleague Honorable Mention.
The previous (2023-24) season he played at Kavkasia where in 32 Superleague games he had 11.4ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.9apg in that year. Gaprindashvili can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Defensive Player of the Year, selected to All-Domestic Players Team and voted to Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Second Team.
He has been also a member of Georgian international program for some years. Gaprindashvili has regularly played for Georgian senior team since 2020 and previously for U18 National Team in 2019.
He represented Georgia at the FIBA U20 European Championship Division B in Tbilisi (Georgia) three years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 14.1ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.3apg, 1.0spg, FGP: 38.9%, 3PT: 40.7%, FT: 62.5%.
Gaprindashvili has played previously for two other teams: Dinamo and Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy 2nd team.
Among many awards he won Georgian U18 League championship title in 2019. He received Eurobasket.com All-Georgian League Co-Young Player of the Year award in 2023.
