CSM Corona Brasov (Liga Nationala) signed 28-year old American 203cm power forward Tyrell Johnson (college: App State) for the upcoming season. He is the second foreign player on the roster, with Canadian Munis Tutu signing earlier. Johnson played for the last two years at KK Vojvodina Novi Sad in the Serbian KLS league. In 23 games, he averaged 10.0ppg, 4.3rpg, and 1.2spg last season. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League All-Imports Team, showcasing a great year. Johnson also played 10 games in the ABA League, averaging 7.8ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.1apg, and 1.1bpg, helping his team reach the semifinals.
Johnson is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in Georgia (Dinamo), Slovakia (Komarno), Switzerland (Vevey Riviera), and the United Kingdom (Plymouth Patriots).
Among many awards, Johnson's team won the Serbian League Regular Season in 2024. Johnson was selected to the Eurobasket.com Adriatic League 2 All-Imports Team in 2024.
He graduated from Appalachian State University in 2019 and it'll be his seventh season in pro basketball.
