Karan Johar's 'Koffee with Karan' stands as a significant platform in Indian television, infamous for its intimate celebrity interviews and the often-revealing personal anecdotes shared by its guests. Despite its widespread popularity and influence, a notable number of prominent Bollywood personalities have, for a variety of reasons, chosen to decline invitations to grace the show's iconic couch. While many have been active guests on the show, even they have chosen to decline the offer in the latest seasons of the show. Let's take a look at some of the actor's who've said no to being a part of the show in the latest seasons.

A close friend of Karan Johar, Ranbir has consistently avoided the show in recent seasons. He was last seen on the show in 2016, Season 6, alongside Ranveer Singh, after which he has openly stated his disinterest in joining the show. On the AIB podcast back in 2017, Ranbir shared his disinterest in being a part of the show, sharing that he doesn’t find it right. Karan even admitted to his unsuccessful attempt at trying to bring him on the show. Ranbir however, shared that he prefers to keep their interactions private, often choosing to visit Karan at home instead.

A regular guest in earlier seasons, Anushka was last seen on Season 5 of Koffee with Karan. She had reportedly declined to appear in later seasons when approached for Season 8, particularly after marrying cricketer Virat Kohli and having a daughter. She prefers to keep her personal life private and avoid discussing her relationship on a public platform. It seems highly unlikely to see her on the show in the upcoming seasons as well.

While Salman's previous appearances have been highly popular, he opted out of Season 7 and has continued to decline Season 8 as well. He was last seen on Season It's speculated that he now prefers to avoid delving into personal and intimate topics on the show. He had earlier handled Karan’s quirky questions with a pinch of salt and humor, but reportedly doesn’t want to get into answering those now.

A frequent guest in the past, Shah Rukh Khan has been absent in recent seasons. He was last seen on the show in the premiere episode of Season 6 with Alia Bhatt. He was reportedly approached for season 7 and 8 but he declined the offer. Karan Johar has addressed the situation, and has mentioned respecting Shah Rukh's desire for silence and privacy, especially given his busy schedule and perhaps a wish to stay out of the limelight. He said to Hindustan Times “he perhaps doesn’t want to be in the forefront. He deserves his silence. As fans and filmmakers we should give him that.”

Karthik was seen on the 6th Season of Koffee with Karan, with his Lukka-Chuppi co-star, Kriti Sanon. The actor has since however declined invites to be on the show. He was approached for Season 7 and 8 but he politely refused to be a part of the show. Despite resolving past issues with Karan Johar and even planning a film collaboration, Kartik reportedly remains hesitant to appear on Koffee with Karan with sources that suggest that he is shy and uncomfortable baring it all and answering Karan's probing questions on the show.

John Abraham is known for being fiercely private. He last marked his appearance in 2011 for Season 3 of the show. He was reportedly invited to be a part of Season 5 but he declined the offer. His refusal to appear on the show is reportedly due to his desire to keep his personal life away from public scrutiny and the potentially controversial discussions that Koffee with Karan often involves. It was also reported by Zee news that he turned down the offer as he was hesitant to discuss his private life on a public forum.
