FRE 0.18%increase; green up pointing triangle said it raised around 1.1 billion euros ($1.15 billion) after selling part of its Fresenius Medical Care FME -7.25%decrease; red down pointing triangle shares and placing bonds.

The German healthcare company on Tuesday said it sold around 10.6 million shares, or around 3.6% of Fresenius Medical Care’s share capital, at a price of 44.50 euros a share. This represents a discount of more than 4% compared with Friday’s closing price of 46.4 euros prior to the announcement.
