Benny Hinn Holds Prayer Crusade in Uganda

Israeli-American televangelist Benny Hinn recently concluded his impactful three-day mass crusade at the Rubaga Miracle Centre in Uganda. During his visit, Hinn laid hands on and offered heartfelt prayers for numerous prominent figures and nations, leaving a significant impression on attendees and observers alike.

Among the notable personalities who received special prayers was Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda Luswata, the Nnabagereka (Queen) of Buganda. A video widely shared on social media platform X captured a moment where the Queen was seen immediately sitting down as the evangelist waved his hands near her face. This particular clip garnered a wide range of comical comments from online users.

Hinn dedicated a significant portion of his prayers to the prosperity of the Kingdom of Buganda, acknowledging its historic and crucial role in opening the doors to Christianity in Uganda during the late 1800s. He prayed, “I pray that the Lord will bless you and His Majesty the King for opening the door for Jesus like that; I pray that the Lord will protect you, bless you, and increase you.”

The Speaker of Parliament, Honourable Anita Annet Among, also received special prayers from the televangelist. She led a large delegation of government officials, including ministers, Members of Parliament, and heads of various government departments and agencies, who were also blessed by Hinn. Beyond Ugandan officials, prayers were extended to delegates from China, South Africa, and Europe, as well as representatives from war-torn African nations such as the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and South Sudan.

In a message of hope and future outreach, Benny Hinn announced his intention to visit several other African nations in the coming years, with Ethiopia and Zimbabwe scheduled for next year. He urged church leaders in these countries to collaborate with Pastor Robert Kayanja, the organizer of the Ugandan crusade, to facilitate his visits. Hinn expressed profound trust in Pastor Kayanja, describing him as “a man of honour, integrity, and anointed by God.”

Beyond his extensive prayers for Uganda and other African nations, Hinn took time to address the ongoing conflict in his homeland, Israel. He passionately prayed for peace in the Holy Land, urging God to bring reconciliation between Israelis and the entire Arab world. Reflecting on his personal experiences, he shared the pain of growing up amidst war in Israel, recounting how his family emigrated to Canada when he was 14 after enduring three wars, including the Suez Crisis when he was merely four years old. He expressed his love for his home and the pain he witnesses in the eyes of its people, stressing the need for prayer for both sides. He also recalled a time of peaceful coexistence where Jews, Muslims, and Christians attended the same schools, contrasting it sharply with the current devastating conflict. Hinn concluded his thoughts on the region by stating, “What they need, those in Israel, and in the West Bank and in Gaza, is Jesus. They have had enough war. Let's pray that God will visit his land.”

Benny Hinn concluded his visit to Uganda with a dedicated seminar for pastors before his scheduled departure back home.
