AEK Betsson Athens (GBL) added 31-year-old American guard Frank Bartley IV (191cm-98kg-1994, college: Louisiana) to their roster for the 2025-26 season. Bartley was the second-best scorer at PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki (GBL) and played in three leagues last year. In 27 GBL games, he averaged 14.9ppg, 4.5rpg, 3.5apg, and 1.4spg, helping the team reach the Greek Cup Semifinals. He also played 18 games in FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 14.9ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.7apg, and 1.2spg, contributing to the team's cup final appearance. Bartley was named Eurobasket.com FIBA Europe Cup Import Player of the Year, Player of the Year, and Guard of the Year. In addition, he played 2 games in Basketball Champions League, averaging 17.5ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.5apg, and 1.0spg.
During the 2023-24 season, he split time between Happy Casa Brindisi (Serie A) in the Italian league and the Eagles (CBA) in the Chinese league.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America) in nine different countries. Bartley has played professionally in China, Denmark (Bakken), Germany (Bayreuth), Israel (Ironi Nes Ziona), Italy (Trieste), Spain (Valladolid), Canada (Riptide), NBA Summer League (New Orleans Pelicans), and The Basketball Tournament (LS Legends and Gutter Cats).
He won the Spanish League championship title in 2020. He was also selected as the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Player of the Year in 2020.
Bartley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered the top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
He graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2018 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. Bartley also played for Brigham Young University for 2 years.
