Deneric Prince was a 3-star commit from Manvel, Texas who originally committed to Texas A&M under then-head coach Jimbo Fisher. He received offers from Alcorn State, Southern University, Abilene Christian, North Texas, Louisville, UCLA, Pursue, SMU, Colorado State, Kansas, Arkansas, and Arizona.
His single season with the Aggies ended with one game and two carries for 21 yards. Prince's final three years of NCAA football were spent at Tulsa where he played in 27 games, had 1,723 rushing yards, 314 carries, 14 rushing touchdowns, 17 catches, 162 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Starting his professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL Draft. But after impressing the Chiefs in minicamp that year, though, he only saw the field for 15 snaps on special teams over two games. Prince is credited as a Super Bowl champion for the win over the San Francisco 49ers in Feb. 2024.
Before the 2024-25 season started, he signed with the Miami Dolphins practice squad in hopes of getting called up, according to Texas A&M Aggies On SI. Unlike another former Aggie running back De'Von Achane, though, Prince had a ways to go before making the active roster.
With the UFL's Memphis Showboats, he's totaled 337 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, 110 receiving yards, and 219 kick return yards.
Now the Patriots are hinting at some interest in the running back and invited Prince to a workout. The future of his NFL career, while still uncertain, may be turning around in his favor.
