Fabric8Labs and Wiwynn Showcase Liquid Cooled AI Data Centers at Computex 2025

Fabric8Labs, Inc., a leader in Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM), has announced a collaboration with Wiwynn, an innovative cloud IT infrastructure provider, to showcase advanced cold plates at Computex 2025. The event will take place from May 20-23 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. These cold plates utilize ECAM technology for next-generation AI data centers, offering customized cooling solutions.

This collaboration combines Fabric8Labs' additive manufacturing technology with Wiwynn's expertise in high-performance, energy-efficient server and rack solutions. The aim is to address the increasing thermal challenges presented by high power density silicon and AI workloads.

The companies are introducing highly customized cold plates that are engineered to match the power maps of advanced AI accelerators, leveraging Fabric8Labs' proprietary ECAM process. These solutions feature parametrically optimized fin structures that direct coolant flow to thermal hot spots, resulting in optimized thermal-hydraulic performance and uniform die temperature distribution. The thermal performance enhancements are reported to be 48% better than traditional skived microchannel technologies.

Wiwynn's systems, integrated with ECAM-enabled components, are designed to meet the rising demands of AI infrastructure. They offer best-in-class cooling, improved device reliability, and a lower total cost of ownership. According to Ian Winfield, VP of Product & Applications at Fabric8Labs, ECAM allows cooling solutions to be designed specifically for the underlying SoC power map, optimizing performance, efficiency, and device reliability.

Lentis Pai, Director at Wiwynn, expressed excitement about showcasing the innovative ECAM-based cold plates at Computex. He stated that this advanced solution delivers superior thermal performance to enhance liquid cooling capabilities, addressing the demanding thermal challenges of next-generation AI data centers.

Fabric8Labs and Wiwynn are redefining data center cooling by combining manufacturing technology with infrastructure design. This collaboration seeks to deliver solutions that meet current demands and establish a foundation for a more efficient, scalable, and sustainable AI-driven future.

Fabric8Labs, Inc., founded in 2015 and based in San Diego, California, is revolutionizing manufacturing with its Electrochemical Additive Manufacturing (ECAM) technology. This technology is a key enabler across electronics, medical devices, communications systems, and semiconductor manufacturing. Fabric8Labs' ECAM technology supports data center infrastructure by enabling advanced thermal management solutions, power management components, and semiconductor packaging.
