Reno Omokri, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mexico and former presidential spokesman, recently asserted that all presidential candidates for the 2027 election possess records with the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). However, Omokri emphasized that the existence of an FBI record should not be equated with a criminal record, a crucial distinction he made during an interview on the City Boy Movement Podcast while addressing questions concerning documents related to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Omokri insisted that Nigerians must differentiate between a standard FBI record and a criminal record, accusing individuals who are circulating claims of criminality against President Tinubu of intentionally misleading the public.
