An exhibition featuring 2D and 3D works by four artists exploring sound, water, air, heat and brain waves is set to open.

'Making Waves' will be on display at Fine Foundation Gallery in Durlston Country Park from Thursday, July 10 to Thursday, July 24.

The artworks by Pat Marvell, Jo Pethybridge, Margaret Thompson and Diana Stoker each depict the theme in the artist's unique style.

The four artists all share a passion for nature, particularly the sea, water and rocks, which feature prominently in their varied media.

Margaret's work blends abstraction and representation, resulting in seascapes with varying moods and intensity.

Jo's ceramics are inspired by diverse landscapes such as French vineyards, the Grand Canyon, ocean waves and pine forests.

Pat draws inspiration from England's rugged coastlines, using natural materials like rotting wood and uncut slate for texture and form.

Diana's landscape pictures are collages of painted and printed papers, evoking skies, seas or distant hills.

The exhibition is open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm and free to enter.
