Ex-President served Nigeria to the best of his capacity, says LP faction

The factional Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has paid tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement, Usman said the late Buhari served the nation to the best of his capacity.
The statement reads: “It is with deep sorrow that I received the news of the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who reportedly died in a London hospital.
“Both as a military Head of State and as a democratically elected President, the late Buhari served the nation to the best of his capacity. Like every human, he had his shortcomings, but his unwavering love for Nigeria – evident in many of the decisions he took both as a military officer and as a statesman – remains undeniable.
“As the nation mourns this departed patriot, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and console all who grieve this profound loss.’’
