Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United defender, has insisted that he would not be surprised if Tottenham Hotspur beat the Red Devils when both teams battle in the Europa League final in Bilbao on Wednesday night.
According to Ferdinand, Ange Postecoglou’s side have beaten Man United three times this season.
The Englishman, however, admitted that he simply could not make a call for United on the result of the Europa League final.
Ferdinand told Optus Sport: “I’ve to be honest, I cannot call a Man United result.
“Man United are so inconsistent in the Premier League [this season].
“I don’t think Man United fans can be too surprised [if Tottenham win the Europa League]. Tottenham beat us three times already this season.
“So it’s not going to be a surprise if they beat us a fourth time.”
This is coming after Ferdinand recently named four players Man United should not have sold in the past.
The former England international also criticized United’s recruitment since former head coach Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
