Plateau Railway Breaks Down After Repair

Plateau State Commissioner of Transport, Mr. Jatau Davou Gyang, announced that N600 million was allocated to repair the broken rail in the state. The government fully funded the repairs without collecting any levies from individuals. However, despite the efforts of experts from the railway corporation in Lagos, the Jos railway broke down again during a test run.

During a briefing at the Ministry of Information Conference Hall in Jos, Commissioner Gyang clarified that the breakdown does not indicate a failure on the part of the experts. He also declined to comment on the cost of the 30 Metro Buses purchased by the state government to alleviate transportation issues, explaining that Governor Caleb Mutfwang exclusively purchased and paid for them. Gyang further disclosed that the CNG buses promised to all states have not yet been delivered.
