For the motion to be adopted, a two-thirds majority of the votes cast, representing a majority of component Members of Parliament, is needed. In a debate starting at 9:00, MEPs will discuss their proposals for the future of the EU’s common agriculture policy (CAP) with Commissioner Christophe Hansen. The European Commission is expected to announce its 2028-2034 common agriculture policy (CAP) proposal in mid-July.
