Marc Cucurella scored the only goal of the game to boost Chelsea's chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Manchester United named an uncharacteristic strong starting XI despite the fact that they had nothing to play for and a European final on the horizon.
The Red Devils went toe to toe with the Blues and even had a goal disallowed for offside, but were eventually undone by Cucurella for their 18th defeat of the campaign. Reece James spun Alejandro Garnacho around on the edge of the area before floating a cross in which was met by the other fullback.
But away from the result, Chelsea fans have now questioned the kind of injuries three of their players had during the game. The concerns started after Enzo Fernandez admitted he had played with 'one eye'.
"Last match at home with this group that will give it all until the end, we have two finals left. Thank you to the fans for the support all season. My first game playing with one eye," he said on Instagram.
The other notable 'injury' was Moises Caicedo wearing a protective mask while the suspended Nicolas Jackson also had a plaster across his nose. Jackson's Premier League season ended after he was sent off in their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United last weekend. He will also be suspended for the first game of the 2025/2026 season.
@Luceefaar asked;
"Caicedo got a mask, Enzo pink eye, look at Jackson also??? Did someone fight?"

"What exactly happened in training? Caicedo had to wear a mask, Jackson had a plaster on his nose, and Fernandez played with one eye."
While Sam said:
"Enzo Fernandez had one eye, Moises Caicedo had a mask on, Jackson had a plaster on his nose. We got no explanation for any of these, what happened??"
Ayomide Aro said:
"Enzo's swollen eye. Caicedo mask(who wears a mask for aesthetics??). Jackson's broken nose. Hmmm"

Football London reports that Caicedo wore the mask after taking a blow to his cheek in the defeat to Newcastle United.
In a separate report, Manchester United have set unwanted records under Ruben Amorim this season.
They are without a league win in eight matches and have suffered 18 league defeats, the most since 1973/74.
The 13-time Premier League champions sit 16th on the table and have one league game left this season.
