Electronic Pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre to Electrify Ibiza's Amnesia

Legendary French composer and producer Jean-Michel Jarre is set to make his debut performance in Ibiza this summer, announcing an exclusive live show at Amnesia on Sunday, July 5th. This highly anticipated event marks Jarre's first-ever concert on the iconic island, a significant and unexpected addition to Ibiza's summer calendar.
The performance is particularly notable as it coincides with Amnesia’s 50th anniversary year, making it a pivotal moment for both the artist and the renowned club. Jarre, an artist whose career has been defined by monumental, large-scale spectacles at locations such as the Eiffel Tower, the Great Pyramids of Egypt, and Tiananmen Square, will perform in a deliberately intimate setting. The show will take place in Amnesia’s legendary Terrace, offering a stark contrast to the grand outdoor productions he is famously known for.
Expressing his excitement, Jarre stated, “Amnesia is a trip — an escape from time. No past, no future, just the intensity of the moment. That space of freedom is where my music has always lived. I’m thrilled to do my very first Ibiza concert at Amnesia to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the club.” This sentiment reflects the artist's over five decades at the forefront of electronic music, during which he has released 22 studio albums, sold over 85 million records globally, and pioneered multi-channel audio, VR, and the metaverse.
Amnesia’s 50th anniversary celebration is designed to honour its rich history in dance music, and securing Jarre for his island debut perfectly aligns with this ambition. Supporting Jarre on the night will be Berlin-based artist Joplyn, who will deliver a live performance blending ethereal vocals with cinematic electronic production to open the evening. Additionally, Les Schmitz, an Amnesia resident since 2003, will perform a DJ set, guiding the crowd leading up to the headline act. Tickets for this exclusive event are currently on sale.
