Eko Hotels Unveils Spectacular Summer Lineup With 'The Jewel' And 'Prideland' Performances
Eko Hotels & Suites is once again setting the stage for a season of unforgettable entertainment, as it prepares to host two major Broadway-style productions this July—‘The Jewel’ and ‘Prideland: The Reign of Queen Fara’—at the iconic Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
Following the success of Love Is, which drew enthusiastic crowds earlier this month, the hotel is keeping up the momentum with a double bill of music, drama, and spectacle that promises to dazzle theatre lovers, families, and tourists alike.
‘The Jewel’, slated for July 18th and 19th, is a futuristic theatrical reimagining inspired by classics such as Wole Soyinka’s The Lion and the Jewel and Ola Rotimi’s Our Husbands Have Gone Mad Again. Combining traditional storytelling with cutting-edge stagecraft, the production blends heritage and innovation in a bold celebration of Nigerian theatre.

The following weekend, ‘Prideland: The Reign of Queen Fara’ will light up the stage on July 25th and 26th. Set in a magical kingdom, the musical is expected to deliver a visually striking and emotionally resonant tale of leadership, unity, and power. Building on the popularity of Eko Hotel’s previous Prideland shows, this latest chapter continues a tradition of fantasy-themed productions that capture the imagination of all ages.
Both shows will run at 7 PM daily, with doors open to all and a strong emphasis on creating a family-friendly atmosphere. Guests can expect immersive performances backed by dynamic choreography, vibrant costumes, and powerful musical scores.
Beyond the stage, Eko Hotel is also offering all-day excitement for younger visitors. The Hakuna Matata Theme Park, open throughout July, provides a colourful escape for children to enjoy rides, games, and interactive play spaces—making it the perfect family destination during the long school break.
With theatre productions that rival global standards and entertainment options for all ages, Eko Hotels & Suites is reaffirming its place as West Africa’s leading destination for holiday experiences.
Tickets are now available, and organisers are urging early purchase to secure seats and avoid disappointment. With the promise of two electrifying shows, an award-winning venue, and a month-long theme park experience, Lagosians and tourists alike are in for a summer to remember.
