Strong tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR on Thursday morning after an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 struck Jhajjar in Haryana, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The quake occurred at 09:04:50 IST on July 10, 2025, with a depth of 10 kilometres. The epicentre was located at latitude 28.63°N and longitude 76.68°E, falling under Jhajjar district. In the wake of strong earthquake tremors felt across Delhi-NCR, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has issued a public advisory urging citizens to follow essential safety precautions.
, residents are advised to consult structural engineers to ensure their homes are earthquake-resistant, repair deep cracks in walls and ceilings, fasten shelves securely, and place heavy objects on lower shelves. The advisory also recommends keeping an emergency kit ready and establishing a family communication plan. Citizens are urged to familiarise themselves with the “Drop, Cover, Hold” technique.
