The event featured a panel discussion hosted by Eco Africa’s Malama Mukonde, with Vanessa Fischer, Head of Environment at DW, Ephraim Shitima, Director of Green Economy and Climate Change, as well as Abel Musumali, an expert in Climate Change and Sustainability. The panel tackled the current problems and opportunities of a sustainable energy transition.
"We are thrilled to have Diamond TV as a strong co-production partner on our side, supporting Eco Africa as a forward-looking format. The challenges of climate change are ever-present, also in Zambia, which faces severe droughts and related energy crises. What strategies can make the country more resilient? These are urgent topics we explored in the panel, just as we do with Eco Africa, addressing vital issues with constructive, relatable journalism that truly matters to the people,” says Vanessa Fischer.
Costa Mwansa, CEO of Diamond TV, adds: "We have been looking at ways to increase our content output for issues related to climate change. Our partnership with Eco Africa presents us with the perfect opportunity to do this. We are delighted to be partnering with DW on this.”
