Don Toliver's 'OCTANE' Album Conquers Billboard 200, Marks Historic No. 1 Debut!

The Billboard 200 chart dated February 14 marks a significant milestone for Don Toliver, as his album "OCTANE" debuts at No. 1, becoming his first chart-topping album. The set launched with an impressive 162,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending February 5, according to Luminate, marking his best week ever. This achievement is further underscored by "OCTANE" debuting at No. 1 on the Top Streaming Albums and Top Album Sales charts, with 131,000 SEA units (equating to 138.98 million on-demand official streams) and 31,000 album sales, respectively. The album's sales were significantly boosted by its availability across various deluxe boxed sets, vinyl variants, and multiple digital download editions, some featuring bonus tracks. "OCTANE" represents Toliver's fifth career top 10 entry, following previous successes like "HARDSTONE PSYCHO," "Love Sick," "Life of a DON," and "Heaven or Hell." Furthermore, Toliver is also a member of the Travis Scott-led hip-hop collective JACKBOYS, which has seen two No. 1 albums.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums based on multi-metric consumption, compiled by Luminate. Equivalent album units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit is equivalent to one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The full chart for February 14, 2026, will be posted on Billboard's website on February 10.

Beyond Don Toliver's triumph, other notable movements shaped the latest Billboard 200. Bad Bunny’s former No. 1 album, "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS," experienced a significant leap from No. 9 to No. 2. This surge follows its critically acclaimed win for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on February 1. The album secured 85,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week, an impressive 138% increase from the prior week. The project also garnered the Best Música Urbana Album award, while its track “EoO” received recognition for Best Global Music Performance.

Noah Kahan’s "Stick Season" also made a strong return to the top 10, rising from No. 13 to No. 7, marking its first appearance in the top tier in over a year. Earning 42,000 equivalent album units (a 48% increase), its resurgence is attributed to the release of his new single, “The Great Divide,” on January 30, and the premiere of its music video during the Grammy Awards broadcast. Kahan further fueled interest by announcing a stadium tour slated to begin on June 11, coinciding with the forthcoming album of the same name, due April 24. "Stick Season" previously peaked at No. 2 in March 2024.

Other albums rounding out the top 10 include Morgan Wallen’s "I’m the Problem" falling slightly to No. 3 (77,000 units), Olivia Dean’s "The Art of Loving" slipping to No. 4 despite a 38% increase (70,000 units) following her Best New Artist Grammy win, Taylor Swift’s "The Life of a Showgirl" climbing to No. 5 (46,000 units), and the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack stepping up to No. 6 (43,000 units). Former No. 1s completing the top 10 are Zach Bryan’s "With Heaven on Top" at No. 8 (41,000 units), SZA’s "SOS" ascending to No. 9 (38,000 units), and A$AP Rocky’s "Don’t Be Dumb" at No. 10 (34,000 units).
