Doc burnt alive as car catches fire after mishap in Bharatpur | Jaipur News - Times of India
Alwar: A govt doctor burnt alive after his car caught fire after it crashed into a diagnostic centre at Bhusawar in Bharatpur district Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Dr Vinod Meena (40), posted at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bhusawar.
According to station house officer Naresh Kumar, Meena was travelling towards Vair when the accident occurred, only about 50 metre from the police station. The car lost control and crashed into a diagnostic centre on the opposite side of the road. Thick smoke soon started emanating from the car. Meena made an attempt to reverse the car but hit the rear wall of the shop, which caused the fire to intensify further, he said.Bystanders attempted to rescue Meena, but the fire spread with such intensity that he could not be saved. Residents quickly notified the Bhusawar police station after the incident. The SHO arrived on scene with his team. The municipal fire brigade of Bhusawar was summoned and succeeded in extinguishing the blaze after considerable effort. After the fire was put out, Meena's body was recovered from the burnt vehicle and sent to the mortuary at Bhusawar hospital. Meena had been working as a general physician in Bhusawar for the past five years and was originally from Gangapur City in Sawai Madhopur district. His wife, Neelam, is a teacher in Banswara district, and the couple have a son aged one and a half years.
