Departures to Denver International Airport grounded by FAA due to building thunderstorms - CBS Colorado
The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday afternoon ordered a ground stop for Denver International Airport due to weather conditions. All departures to Denver are grounded through 4:45 p.m.
Thunderstorms are building up east of Aurora and near the airport and they're bringing gusty winds.
Friday is a First Alert Weather Day due to the potential for severe weather.
