Defamation Suit: I'll throw my Bible away if Empress Gifty secures injunction against me - Agradaa
Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has made another bold statement on social media following a recent court ruling in her legal battle with gospel musician Empress Gifty.
On June 26, 2025, the two appeared before the Tema High Court for the second time since the defamation case began.
During the proceedings, Justice P. Baffoe-Bonnie imposed a GH¢6,000 fine on Agradaa, among others.
The court also struck out Agradaa’s injunction seeking to block Empress Gifty’s GH¢20 million defamation lawsuit.
In response to the ruling, Agradaa took to social media, vowing to continue with the fight despite the looming threat of legal action.
She boldly stated that she would abandon her ministry if an injunction is successfully secured to silence her on social media.
"The only thing you people need is an injunction. If you manage to get one that stops me from coming on social media, I will throw my Bible away. You’re a joker. If you attack me, I’ll strip you bare," Agradaa said in her video post.
She further insisted that she would not be silenced and would continue responding to provocations by Empress Gifty.
"You start a fight and insult me first. But when I respond, you run to court seeking an injunction. I’ll deal with you on social media. You can go to court a hundred times," she stated.
She added, "I’ll massage and discipline you online. I also have the right to sue for defamation, especially when Sammy Gyamfi gave me money and you insulted me for it."
Meanwhile, both parties are scheduled to reappear before the Tema High Court on July 16, 2025.
