Deadly US-Israeli Strike on Iranian Bridge: Trump Shares Video, Casualties Mount

An airstrike targeting a major bridge located just outside Tehran has resulted in its collapse and the reported deaths of at least two individuals, according to local and Iranian media. The significant incident has drawn international attention and fueled speculation regarding the perpetrator of the attack.

Former US President Trump made statements on his platform, Truth Social, that appeared to claim responsibility for the strike. In a post, he declared, "The biggest bridge in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again — Much more to follow! IT IS TIME FOR IRAN TO MAKE A DEAL BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, AND THERE IS NOTHING LEFT OF WHAT STILL COULD BECOME A GREAT COUNTRY!" This message was interpreted as a stern warning to Iran, urging them to reach an agreement before further destruction.

While the initial source of the strike remained unclear, with both Israel and the United States being considered possibilities, Trump's posts suggested US involvement. Contradictory reports emerged, as the Israeli Defense Forces had previously stated to the BBC that they were unaware of such a strike. The US Defence Department has, to date, not issued a response to requests for comment on the matter. Visual evidence, including video footage, depicted the bridge engulfed in a fiery plume of smoke shortly after the airstrike occurred.
