DC Hero Jumps to Western Frontier: 'Batman' Star Boards 'Yellowstone' Spin-Off!

Paramount+ is expanding its robust lineup with "The Madison," a new drama from prolific creator Taylor Sheridan, which sees an unexpected casting addition in Will Arnett. Arnett, known for his roles as Lego Batman and various comedic characters, will portray Phil Yorn, a New York City-based therapist in what is described as "Sheridan’s most intimate work to date." The series is uniquely set across two contrasting environments: the rugged natural beauty of Montana's Madison River valley and the dynamic, restless energy of Manhattan. At its heart, the story delves into the Clyburn family, a New York City clan grappling with themes of loss and the intricate process of reconnection following their relocation to central Montana.

The six-episode series boasts a stellar cast led by Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer and Academy Award winner Kurt Russell. In addition to Arnett, the ensemble cast includes Beau Garrett from Firefly Lane, Elle Chapman of A Man Called Otto, Patrick J. Adams known for Suits, Amiah Miller from War for the Planet of the Apes, Alaina Pollack from The Surrender, Ben Schnetzer of 3 Body Problem, Kevin Zegers from Power, Rebecca Spence seen in Lady in the Lake, Danielle Vasinova from 1923, and Matthew Fox, famous for Lost. This diverse cast promises a rich tapestry of performances to bring Sheridan's latest vision to life.

Set to premiere globally on Saturday, March 14, exclusively on Paramount+, "The Madison" is a significant addition to Sheridan's expanding television universe. Behind the scenes, the series is produced by a collaborative effort including Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Taylor Sheridan takes on an executive producing role alongside a distinguished team that comprises David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, and its lead stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, as well as Keith Cox, ensuring a high-caliber production.

Beyond "The Madison," Taylor Sheridan's creative output continues to flourish with several other anticipated projects slated for 2026 and beyond. Fans can look forward to "Dutton Ranch," a much-anticipated sequel to Yellowstone featuring the return of Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, expected to air later this year. Another Yellowstone universe expansion, "Marshals," will see Luke Grimes reprise his role as Kayce Dutton, premiering on CBS in March, with Sheridan serving as an executive producer. Additionally, fan-favorite series such as "Tulsa King," "Lioness," and "Landman" are all scheduled to return later in the year with new seasons.

However, not all news from the Sheridan-verse is about new beginnings; Jeremy Renner's "Mayor of Kingstown" is set to conclude with its fifth and final season, though a specific release date has not yet been announced. "The Madison" marks a pivotal moment as the first of many anticipated shows from Sheridan's prolific pen hitting Paramount+ screens this year, solidifying his dominance in crafting compelling, character-driven dramas across various settings and genres.
