Anorthosis Ammohostou (OPAP BL) confirmed in their roster 30-year old ex-international forward Rafail Eleftheriou (201cm-100kg-1994, college: Fresno Pacific) for upcoming 2025-26 season. He has played there for the last three seasons.
He was also a member of the Cypriot international program for some years. Eleftheriou played for Cypriot Senior National Team between 2018 and 2021 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2014.
He also represented Cyprus at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Pre-Qualifiers four years ago. During this event he scored an average of 3 points per game and had 1.7 rebounds per game.
Eleftheriou has played previously for two other teams: Apollon and Keravnos.
Among many awards his team made it to the Cyprus final in 2024. He was voted to Eurobasket.com Cyprus League All-Domestic Players Team back in 2021.
Eleftheriou graduated from Fresno Pacific University in 2018 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player. He played also for Cuesta College for 2 years.
