Country Superstar Morgan Wallen Achieves Milestone Seventh No. 1 Hit!
Morgan Wallen’s “Don’t We” has become his 21st No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, making his 2025 album *I’m the Problem* the first to generate seven chart-toppers from original versions. Meanwhile, Stella Lefty makes her debut in the top 10 with her song “Boston,” marking a significant milestone for the newcomer.
Morgan Wallen has achieved his 21st No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with his song “Don’t We,” which ascended to the top spot on the tally dated August 1. The track garnered 33.6 million audience impressions between July 17-23, marking a 5% increase according to Luminate. This milestone is particularly significant as “Don’t We” is the seventh Country Airplay No. 1 single to be spun off from Wallen’s 2025 album, *I’m the Problem*. This makes *I’m the Problem* the first album ever to produce seven chart-topping songs exclusively from its original version. For comparison, Luke Combs’ *What You See Is What You Get* also yielded seven No. 1s between 2019-2021, but this count included both its original and deluxe editions.
The previous No. 1 singles from *I’m the Problem* include “20 Cigarettes,” “I Got Better,” “Just in Case,” the album's title track, “Love Somebody,” and “Lies Lies Lies,” which initiated this remarkable streak in November 2024. The album's performance surpasses Wallen’s previous success with *One Thing at a Time* from 2023, which produced six chart-toppers. Since its debut in May 2025, *I’m the Problem* has commanded the Top Country Albums chart for an impressive 45 weeks.
Wallen now stands among an elite group of 10 artists who have secured 21 or more No. 1s since the Country Airplay chart's inception in January 1990. Kenny Chesney leads this group with 33 chart-toppers, followed by Blake Shelton (30), Tim McGraw (29), Jason Aldean (27), and then Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, and George Strait, each with 26. Thomas Rhett, Keith Urban, and Morgan Wallen are currently tied with 21 No. 1s each.
Delving deeper into Wallen's Country Airplay success, he has charted 37 songs since his debut with “The Way I Talk” in 2016, boasting a 57% conversion rate to No. 1s. This percentage becomes even more striking when considering songs that reach the top 10: 21 out of his 24 top 10 entries have gone on to reach the No. 1 position, an 88% success rate. Furthermore, Wallen’s pace of achieving these triumphs has significantly accelerated. A remarkable 16 of his 21 No. 1s have been notched since July 2022, with 10 of these occurring since April 2024. He set a personal record with five leaders in 2024, followed by four in 2025, and “Don’t We” marks his second No. 1 of 2026.
“Don’t We” reached the No. 1 spot in its 21st chart week, making it Wallen’s 11th solo-billed song since 2022 to top the Country Airplay chart in 21 weeks or less. He has also featured on two collaborations that achieved No. 1 within the same timeframe: Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Wallen, and Wallen’s own “Cowgirls,” featuring Ernest. Including “Don’t We,” a total of 32 Country Airplay No. 1s since 2022 have reached the summit in 21 chart weeks or fewer. Wallen has been billed on 13 of these — 11 solo recordings and two collaborations — which means he accounts for more than 40% of all songs to accomplish this rapid ascent over that period. Of Wallen’s 12 previous No. 1s that scaled the summit in 21 weeks or fewer, six managed the climb in 15 weeks or less. “I Had Some Help” was the quickest, needing only seven weeks. Among his solo recordings, “Last Night” and “I’m the Problem” each reached No. 1 in 11 weeks, followed by “Love Somebody” in 14 weeks. Both “Cowgirls” and “Just in Case” took 15 weeks to reach the top.
In other Country Airplay news, newcomer Stella Lefty has achieved her first top 10 hit with “Boston,” which moved up two spots to No. 9, earning 19 million audience impressions (up 12%). Lefty joins Maren Morris as one of only two women in the past decade to enter the top 10 with a debut single in 14 weeks or fewer; Morris accomplished this in 11 weeks with “My Church” in 2016.
