Correcting Ram truck PCM software | Vehicle Service Pros

This bulletin applies to 2020 Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with a 6.4L Hemi engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Some trucks may have been programmed with incorrect software.

The customer may experience Active Noise Control (ANC) system not working. DTCs P1404 (EGR position sensor rationality closed), B154F-64 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal plausibility failure) and/or B154F-24 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal stuck high) may be set.

The customer may experience Active Noise Control (ANC) system not working. DTCs P1404 (EGR position sensor rationality closed), B154F-64 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal plausibility failure) and/or B154F-24 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal stuck high) may be set.

This bulletin applies to 2020 Ram 2500/3500 trucks equipped with a 6.4L Hemi engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Some trucks may have been programmed with incorrect software.

The customer may experience Active Noise Control (ANC) system not working. DTCs P1404 (EGR position sensor rationality closed), B154F-64 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal plausibility failure) and/or B154F-24 (lost crankshaft pulse signal-signal stuck high) may be set. In addition, the PTO (power take-off) mode transmission gear engagement may be abrupt and idle speed may be high when moving from Park to Drive/Reverse.

Reprogram the PCM with the latest available software.
