Concluding update to major Carlisle United review expected soon - Yahoo Sports

A concluding update to a review into Carlisle United will be released to fans within the ‘next week’ according to Nigel Clibbens.
A review was ordered following the club’s disappointed relegation from the football league – their second relegation in as many seasons.

The consultants GSW (General Sports Worldwide) are part of the review team along with other external specialists which has been overseen by Tom Piatak.

The club have said that their objective is ‘clear’ and that is to build a squad ‘capable’ of promotion back to the football league.
Carlisle owner Tom Piatak, after United dropped to the National League, said a “top to bottom review” of the club would be taking place.
This, he said, would cover all areas of the club - "football performance, recruitment, culture, structure, day-to-day operations" - and he insisted there would be “no sacred cows” when it came to making any changes deemed necessary.

Carlisle have confirmed Mark Hughes’ retention as head coach for the 2025/26, with Glyn Hodges continuing as his assistant.
And nor has there yet been any update on any changes on the operational side of United.
Piatak said that “football was the clear priority” of the review but that scrutiny of “operational aspects” would follow.

He said “performance, recruitment, culture, and structure” had all been assessed in the football review.
In a statement on May 9, the United chairman and owner said the club would “continue to communicate transparently and directly” with fans on the review.
This was revealed at a meeting of the Carlisle United Supporters Club, held on June 2.
