Clear Skies, Unclear Air: Smoke Triggers Air Quality Alert - NewsBreak

Published 21 hours ago1 minute read

The latest from Storm Team 5…

We are starting to see a nice stretch of sunny skies this week with Wednesday being the only day with expected rain. Up until Wednesday we have temperatures in the mid to upper 80s with rising humidity. An air quality alert is also in effect for the area due to some wildfires in Canada.

On Wednesday expect likely showers with temperatures dropping to the upper 70s. The humidity will also break during this period.

Thursday morning has a chance of lingering showers but that clears up in the afternoon. We expect temperatures in the mid 70s throughout the rest of the week. Mostly sunny skies will also bring you into the weekend.

Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a low chance of isolated showers.

With the current air quality alert it is important to limit time outdoors, try to keep windows closed, and run air purifiers if one is available. This is especially important for those with asthma or other respiratory conditions.
