A tragic helicopter crash claimed five lives at Kudenga Farm near Marondera on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Among the deceased were prominent businessman Wicknell Chivayo, approximately 46 years old, his wife Lucy Muteke, 35, their aide Sanelisiwe Magagula, and pilots Captain Calvin Tafirei Soda and Captain Courage Mutavirwa. All five perished on impact after the aircraft struck the ground and subsequently caught fire.
