Chicago PD Rocked! Major Star Exits After 14 Seasons

LaRoyce Hawkins, a prominent star on NBC’s long-running drama “Chicago P.D.”, is set to depart from the series during its upcoming 14th season. Hawkins, known for his role as Officer Kevin Atwater, has been an integral part of the show since its inception in 2014, having appeared in over 260 episodes. While the exact details of his character’s exit are being kept confidential, sources indicate that Atwater’s arc will conclude early in the season. Hawkins has also been a familiar face in the broader “One Chicago” universe, participating in various crossover episodes with “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med”.

The “One Chicago” franchise, acclaimed for its innovative approach to crossover storytelling, encompasses three interconnected shows: “Chicago P.D.”, “Chicago Fire”, and “Chicago Med”. These series frequently feature characters from one show appearing in others to collaboratively address medical emergencies, combat fires, or tackle criminal investigations. Jason Beghe, who portrays the complex character of Hank Voight, has been at the forefront of “Chicago P.D.” since its 2014 premiere and is confirmed to return for Season 14.
