Chart-Topping Sensation: Ella Langley's 'Choosin' Texas' Ties Mariah Carey's Record!
Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has tied Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart with 26 weeks. The song garnered 19.8 million streams in a recent week and holds a strong position on the Billboard Hot 100. This milestone places it in an elite group of streaming giants.
Ella Langley's hit single, “Choosin’ Texas,” has achieved a remarkable milestone on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart, matching Mariah Carey’s iconic holiday track “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the most weeks spent at No. 1. Both songs have now accumulated 26 weeks atop the prestigious tally, as confirmed by the survey dated October 24.
During the week ending October 15, “Choosin’ Texas” recorded 19.8 million chart-eligible streams within the United States, according to Luminate data. This figure represents a 5% dip from the preceding period, October 2-8. The song first ascended to the top position on the chart dated January 31 and has since enjoyed multiple stints at No. 1, including its longest continuous run of eight weeks between August 15 and October 3.
This achievement places “Choosin’ Texas” and “All I Want for Christmas Is You” among an elite group of only three songs to have reigned on the Streaming Songs chart for 20 or more weeks since its inception in 2013. The other song to reach this benchmark is Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, which held the No. 1 spot for 20 frames.
While Ella Langley is poised to potentially claim sole possession of this longevity record by the end of the month, her path to that feat may not be entirely smooth. Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” traditionally sees a resurgence during each holiday season, often adding to its week count at No. 1, as it did for four weeks during the 2025 season.
The 19.8 million stream count for “Choosin’ Texas” on the October 24 tally also marked a significant point: it was the first time since the February 7 chart that the most-streamed song in the U.S. registered fewer than 20 million listens in a single tracking week. On that earlier February 7 chart, Harry Styles’ “Aperture” debuted at No. 1 with 18.2 million streams. Concurrently, “Choosin’ Texas” maintains its strong performance on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100, holding the No. 2 position, behind Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero.”
