Rapper Pooh Shiesty has achieved a significant career milestone, securing his first No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with his latest LP, "All Eyes on Shiest". The album, released under 1017/Atlantic Records, debuted at the top of the list dated August 22. This impressive debut was propelled by 51,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the tracking week of August 7-13, according to Luminate data.
The majority of "All Eyes on Shiest"'s first-week total came from robust streaming activity, contributing 49,500 units. This figure translates to an impressive 51.6 million official on-demand streams of the album’s songs. Traditional album sales added 1,500 units, while track-equivalent album sales contributed a negligible amount. For context, Billboard calculates one unit as either one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 1,000 paid/subscription tier or 2,500 ad-supported tier of official on-demand audio and video streams for a song on the album.
This achievement marks Pooh Shiesty's first No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in his second appearance, following his 2021 "Shiesty Season" mixtape which debuted and peaked at No. 2. Beyond this chart, "All Eyes on Shiest" also opened at No. 1 on the Top Rap Albums chart, making it his second leader in that category, and reached No. 7 on the all-genre Billboard 200, his second top 10 entry overall. The album's strong performance also saw 14 of its tracks appear on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, the highest number for any artist that week, led by new entries “Last Man Breathin” at No. 11 and “Reap What You Sew” at No. 13. These tracks simultaneously debuted at Nos. 7 and 9 on Hot Rap Songs, adding to his collection of top 10s on that ranking.
Notably, the album's success unfolds amidst a significant legal challenge for the rapper. Pooh Shiesty is currently the centerpiece of a federal trial, scheduled for February 2027, addressing allegations that he and multiple co-conspirators coerced Gucci Mane at gunpoint to release him from his record deal. Pooh Shiesty has formally pleaded not guilty to these charges.
