Chaos Near Superstar: Woman Arrested After Shots Fired At Rihanna's LA Home

A disturbing incident occurred on Sunday, March 8, when a 30-year-old woman was taken into custody after allegedly firing multiple shots into the Los Angeles-area home of pop superstar Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky. Authorities reported responding to a shooting at approximately 1:21 p.m. after receiving a report. It was confirmed that at least ten shots were fired at the residence from inside a white Tesla parked across the street from the property's gate, with one round penetrating a wall of the mansion. Bullet holes were also found in the gate of the home and an RV parked in the driveway.

Despite the severity of the attack, no injuries were reported. ABC7 confirmed that Rihanna was at home during the incident. Following the shooting, the suspect's vehicle, a white Tesla, fled the scene. Police quickly circulated details about the individual, noting her braided hair, cream-colored shirt, and the dirty bottom of her car. A police helicopter successfully tracked the vehicle to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where the suspect was apprehended approximately 30 minutes after the initial 911 call.

Upon the suspect's arrest and a search of the vehicle, law enforcement located an assault rifle and seven spent casings. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias confirmed these findings, and NBC further reported that the weapon used was an AR-15-style assault rifle. Rihanna reportedly resides in the home with A$AP Rocky and their three young children, though it was unclear at the time of the incident if all family members were present. A spokesperson for the singer had not yet responded to Billboard's request for comment.

This incident is not the first time one of Rihanna's properties has been targeted. In 2018, a man named Eduardo Leon broke into her Hollywood Hills home, remaining inside for 12 hours before being discovered by an assistant. Leon later pleaded no contest to stalking the singer. At press time, authorities had not released any further information regarding the alleged shooter's identity or a potential motive behind the recent attack.
